MIT Mechanosynthesis Group

The MIT Mechanosynthesis Group, led by Professor John Hart, advances the science and technology of manufacturing through research spanning materials, machinery and automation, process innovation, and computation. Their work is multidisciplinary, spans from fundamentals through applications, and engages a wide range of sponsors and collaborators. They are also dedicated to commercialization and entrepreneurship, and group alumni have founded several successful new companies - including VulcanForms, Upgrade Manufacturing, and Fabri, and more on the way.
