The programme at the Amity Institute of Nanotechnology comprises of conceptual knowledge of nanoscience and nanotechnology, including preparation of nanomaterials, their characterization and applications. Our eminent faculty takes care of teaching and training the students in the frontier areas of nanotechnology and they have drawn a noteworthy syllabus for the entire course.
This concentration allows students to study atoms and molecules used to create computer chips and other devices that are the size of a few nanometres - thousands of times smaller than current technology permits. Such discoveries will be useful in a number of fields, including aerospace, medicine, and electronics.
At Carleton, you will examine nanoscience through the disciplines of physical chemistry and electrical engineering to understand the physical, chemical and electronic characteristics of matter in this size regime. The combination of these two areas of study will equip you to fully understand nanoscience in photonic, electronic, energy and communication technologies. The focus of the program will be on materials - their use in electronic devices, their scalability and control of their properties.
This interdisciplinary materials science and engineering track provides a strong foundation for nanoscience and nanotechnology and is designed to prepare MSE majors for future interdisciplinary careers, for graduate research programs in materials science, nanotechnology, bioengineering and other disciplines.
Nanoscience and nanotechnology are built upon chemistry and physics. This degree is a solid science degree (physics and chemistry) but with a unique focus on nanoscience and nanotechnology. In the Years 3 and 4 of the degree the student chooses to major in either physics or chemistry, but all students do the nanotechnology modules.
Excelsior College - Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Tech with concentration in Nanotechnology (USA)
This program is comprised of three major components: arts and sciences, electrical engineering technology, and free electives. The electrical engineering technology component consists of core and concentration requirements in addition to electrical technology elective credits.
Der Studiengang Bio- und Nanotechnologien fasst die Schlüsseltechnologien Biotechnologie, Umwelttechnik, Nano- und Oberflächentechnik zusammen.
Nanotechnology is a specialisation within a Bachelor of Science (Honours). This specialisation is also available within the 3 year Bachelor of Science.
Nanotechnology is a specialisation within a Bachelor of Science. This specialisation is also available within the 4 year Bachelor of Science (Honours). This degree will equip you to be a part of this new industrial revolution. You will graduate ready to start working in a variety of scientific professions and to play a leading role in the future as nanotechnology grows, matures and reveals its full potential. Nanotechnology draws on the strengths of all the basic sciences and the course will give you a strong background in these sciences. In particular, there is an emphasis on developing computational skills and an awareness of the roles and uses of computers in science and society. From Second Year you will choose to specialise in one of two areas: Biomedical Nanotechnology; Quantum Nanostructures.
This degree is for those who have an interest in chemistry and a desire to explore the frontline of science. This programme combines chemistry with green nanotechnology in order to solve a wide range of issues.
This 4-year course is based on physics but includes content from chemistry and biology to give an important appreciation of how all the sciences have new effects to be observed and new applications to be discovered.
A unique program that was specifically authorized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
Nanotechnology research activities at the Institute of Physics are concentrated on topics related to design, fabrication, characterisation, and properties of nano-size materials and structures, with particular focus on scanning probe methods.
The Nanotechnology / Science double degree program aims to provide students with a broad education in disciplines that will underpin the science and technology, in particular nanotechnology, in the coming years. Our double degree course structure provides full coverage of subject areas, avoiding the compromises of shorter niche degrees where the supporting sciences are reduced to include the nanotechnology units.
The interdisciplinary degree courses in nanotechnology at Leibniz Universitšt Hannover provide extensive training in the field of nanotechnology. The Faculties of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics and Physics, and Natural Sciences have combined forces to offer this joint programme.
The B.S. in Nanosystems Engineering (NSE) is a four year undergraduate program leading to an ABET accredited engineering degree. This interdisciplinary program was established in 2005 and prepares graduates with the knowledge and skills to integrate basic nanoscale science and engineering fundamentals in order to produce useful technology for society. The program offers students the choice to select an engineering application focus area from biomedical, chemical, electrical, mechanical, or microsystems engineering. The program draws upon the strengths of our unique combination of laboratory resources and interdisciplinary research, education, and support programs.
Massey University - Bachelor of Engineering with Honours (Chemical and Nanotechnology) (New Zealand)
The degree starts with a foundation in mathematics and science and an introduction to technology and engineering. It then builds on these fundamentals to develop the basic skills of a chemical or process engineer and opens up to the ways of thinking of the nano-revolution. We keep the degree broad enough to equip graduates for a range of careers in New Zealand or overseas covering both biological and non-biological processes. There is an opportunity for individual specialisation and participation on the frontier of knowledge with the research project component.
As well as dealing with the novel properties of materials on the nanoscale, a key facet of the Nanoscience major is its interdisciplinary character including all of the fundamental sciences. Students will build on a foundation of maths, physics and chemistry before going on to study aspects of nanoscience itself, focussing on a choice from two options - either quantum nanoscience (with an emphasis on further physics and chemistry of modern nanomaterials) or bionanoscience (with an emphasis on biological macromolecules and nanostructures).
Through courses already offered in the Faculties of Science, Engineering, and Medicine, depending on the courses completed, undergraduate students will acquire knowledge in areas related to nanotechnology.
Murdoch University offers the undergraduate degree Bachelor of Science in Nanoscience which may be completed in three years of full-time study or over a longer period on a part-time basis. A fourth year of study and research is available if you are selected for an Honours degree.
With this course you will explore classical and modern physics, investigating the physical world around us and beyond. You'll also learn about Nanoscience, the science of the really small, and gain an understanding of the rules and complexities of physics at finer and finer levels.
The area of concentration in nanoscale physics prepares students to investigate structures and systems at the interface of classical and quantum physics at nanometer length scales. It provides a hands-on, inter-disciplinary introduction to the cutting-edge science and technologies associated with exploring nanoscale phenomena. This area of concentration is especially well-suited for physics majors with inter-disciplinary career interests in biology, chemistry, and/or engineering.
