Keynote on transformational clean and nanotechnologies at TechConnect

(Nanowerk News) Lockheed Martin, a global security company, will play a prominent role at the annual TechConnect World Conference and Expo, to be held in Anaheim, California from June 21-24.
In addition to its support of emerging technology and energy innovation through a platinum level sponsorship, Lockheed Martin will open the event on Tuesday, June 22 with a keynote on transformational nano and clean technologies from James Kohlhaas, Vice President of Energy Initiatives.
"The success of this powerful combination - the convergence of clean tech and nanotechnology - is critical to global energy security," said Kohlhaas.
Ken Van Meter, Principal Analyst of Energy Solutions, will highlight Lockheed Martin's growing role in smart grid and energy efficiency by serving in two capacities: as a Q&A panelist for the Utility Technology Challenge, a global partnership program matching utility-scale technologies to testing and adoption partners; and as a member of the Smart Grid: IT - Efficiency, Reliability, Security panel.
"Emerging technologies have the potential to markedly change our industry," said Van Meter. "It is invigorating to see the enthusiasm and drive of new entrepreneurs, who will create great value for our companies, our industry, and our world."
To help the technology community understand its research, development and deployment goals, Jon Rambeau, Lockheed Martin Vice President of Technology Transitions, will participate in the TechConnect Fortune 500 Corporate Partnering portion of the event. Corporate Partnering provides a unique opportunity for F500 companies to present their technology and business areas of interest to a targeted audience. Presentations focus on a company's current and future technology and business needs; short and long term technology investment areas of interest; and potential partnership opportunities for universities and start-ups.
