First recipient of the Yang Family Nanotechnology EXploration for Undergraduate Scholarship

(Nanowerk News) Michael Hovish, an undergraduate student at the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering ("CNSE") of the University at Albany, was recognized on July 26 as the first recipient of the Yang Family Nanotechnology EXploration for Undergraduate Scholarship ("NEXUS").
Hovish, a member of CNSE's initial undergraduate class in the spring 2010 semester, was chosen to receive the NEXUS scholarship in recognition of his demonstrated academic excellence and distinguished service to CNSE.
"I was both delighted and surprised by winning the scholarship," Hovish said. "It is an honor to be selected for such a prestigious award, and I am grateful to Mark Yang and the Yang family for establishing this scholarship fund, which will provide critical support as I continue my education at CNSE."
The NEXUS scholarship, which was established by Mark Yang '92 and his family, provides financial support for CNSE students who demonstrate strong academic achievement and exceptional promise in the fields of science and technology
