New open-access book in nanomaterials research

(Nanowerk News) A new Open Access book, "Advances in Nanocomposites: Synthesis, Characterization and Industrial Applications" has just been published on the InTechOpen reading platform.
Over 966 pages and 40 chapters, the book, which is available for free full-text download, is organised into four sections: the synthesis of nanocomposites; the electrochemical and electrokinetic properties of materials and devices; carbon nanotubes, and gas sensors.
The material is contributed by leading researchers in academia and, as Editor Boreddy S. R. Reddy of the Industrial Chemistry Laboratory of the Central Leather Research Institute, Chennai, India notes, in commercial enterprises at the forefront of nanocomposites research. Thanks to the contributions of the latter, material which is not easily found elsewhere is available in this book.
Thus the book bridges the gap between theory and practice, explaining major concepts and new advances in an accessible manner and covering material that extends beyond emerging technologies.
The book can be downloaded at http://www.intechopen.com/books/show/title/advances-in-nanocomposites-synthesis-characterization-and-industrial-applications.
