Legal appraisal of nanotechnology released by German Federal Environment Agency

(Nanowerk News) The Umweltbundesamt (UBA), Germany's Federal Environment Agency, has commissioned a legal opinion that identifies regulatory gaps for nanotechnology, based on an analysis of the current state of the art in nanotechnologies and of existing and emerging environmental legislation at national and European level.
The recently released study also develops approaches to filling those gaps and gives recommendations for the further regulatory course of action on nanomaterials.
