Materials Chemistry and Physics is devoted to short communications, full-length research papers and feature articles on interrelationships among structure, properties, processing and performance of materials.
Materials Science and Engineering A provides an international medium for the publication of theoretical and experimental studies related to the load-bearing capacity of materials as influenced by their basic properties, processing history, microstructure and operating environment. Appropriate submissions to Materials Science and Engineering A should include scientific and/or engineering factors which affect the microstructure - strength relationships of materials and report the changes to mechanical behavior.
This journal publishes significant original work, topical reviews and guest edited issues ranging from technologies and systems to product innovation and new manufacturing processes with features at the micro and nanoscale. Applications for micro and nanosystems in areas such as health, environmental, food, security and consumer goods will be covered. The topics to be addressed will include Lab-on-a-chip, microfluidics, nano-biotechnology, micro and nanomanufacturing, printed electronics and MEMS.
The journal Microchimica Acta (MCA) publishes articles on all aspects of modern microchemical sciences. Coverage includes fundamental studies, practical applications, new approaches to instrumentation and micro-/nano-materials such as micro- and nanoparticles. It also reports on methods of trace analysis, on new schemes related to microseparation, spectroscopy, electroanalysis and (bio)chemical sensing, on surface and solid-state (micro)analysis, on lab automation (as it relates to microchemistry), and micro- and nano-techniques including µ-TAS and nano-TAS.
Microporous and Mesoporous Materials is an international journal covering novel and significant aspects of porous solids classified as either microporous (pore size up to 2 nm) or mesoporous (pore size 2 to 50 nm). Typical examples are zeolites and zeolite-like materials, pillared materials, clathrasils and clathrates, carbon molecular sieves , ordered mesoporous materials, organic/inorganic porous hybrid materials or porous metal oxides.
The journalís coverage of MEMS/NEMS addresses sensors, actuators, and other micro/nanosystems as well as micromechatronic systems integration. Coverage of information storage systems includes magnetic recording, optical recording, and other recording devices.
