OECD nanotechnology awareness-raising workshop for developing and transition countries
(Nanowerk News) OECD and UNITAR will hold Awareness-Raising Workshops for Developing and Transition Countries on Nanotechnology and Manufactured Nanomaterials.
These workshops will be held under the auspices of the Inter-Organization Programme For The Sound Management of Chemicals (IOMC) following their request for action regarding nanotechnologies and nanomaterials.
These workshops will inform on potential applications and risks from nanotechnologies and manufactured nanomaterials and look for opportunities for awareness raising activities to be undertaken in those countries.
The workshops will be held in conjunction with the Strategic Approach to International Chemicals Management (SAICM) during the UN regional meetings during 2009-2010.
