The Bourne Report to Reveal its 2008 Annual List of the Ten Coolest Consumer Products

(Nanowerk News) Bourne Research LLC today announced that it will reveal its 3rd Annual list of the Ten Coolest Consumer Products of 2008 live during its broadcast of The Bourne Report on November 23rd. Featuring the year's "must have" items which utilize the latest in nanomaterials, MEMS (micro-electro-mechanical systems) and other innovative technologies, prices range from less than $12 to nearly $4,000 - ideal for nearly any gift-giving budget.
"The innovation of scientists and engineers never ceases to amaze me," said Marlene Bourne, President & Principal Analyst of Bourne Research LLC, and host of The Bourne Report. "Taking what many might construe to be a mundane product and giving it new life - and 'wow' factor - simply by applying technology in an entirely different way, is ingenuity at its best."
The Bourne Report's Ten Coolest Consumer Products of 2008 includes items from companies such as Capulet, FLIR Systems and Yamaha. Some of the products on the list include holiday lights from Evident Technologies, a pocket projector from Optoma, and electronic mascara from Estee Lauder, as well as items to monitor fuel efficiency, improve posture and make workouts more fun. In the coveted #1 spot is a surprising product that every consumer should have in their medicine cabinet.
The entire list will be revealed and discussed in detail on November 23rd during The Bourne Report, a talk radio show which takes a weekly look at next-generation science and today's coolest technologies and products. Produced and hosted by Marlene Bourne, the show airs on Independent 1310 KXAM in Phoenix, and streams live on the Internet to listeners worldwide.
