This programme focuses on the technologies involved in the miniaturization of electronic and optical devices. The main emphasis is on current microtechnologies including the design and fabrication of microelectronic circuits, microsystems and optoelectronics. In addition to these topics, students can specialize in nanotechnology and nanosystem design or electronics production technology. The programme offers studies in basic materials and circuit theory, processing, functional devices and characterisation.

Molecular medicine is the study of molecular and cellular phenomena in biological systems that enhances our understanding of human diseases and facilitates discovery research in disease prevention, diagnosis and therapy. The major objective of this program is to expose the students to basic and applied aspects of molecular medicine and train a new generation of young scientists in cutting-edge, interdisciplinary research in this area including molecular diagnostics.
The course is designed in such a way that students can explore in depth the application of nanotechnology to biomedical areas.
