Nanotechnology in construction engineering research grants |
| (Nanowerk News) The German Federal Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF) has issued a call for research projects that deal with nanotechnology applications in the construction industry - "Nanotechnology in construction engineering - NanoTecture." (in German). |
| Goal of this research grant program is the development of new or significantly improved building materials, products, and processes through nanotechnologies. |
| Supported research will focus on the following areas: |
| – Increased durability of building components and elements (roofs, doiors, windows, etc.) |
| – Reduced energy use |
| – Improved indoor climate, comfort and security |
| – Improved energy efficiency and life time of concrete-based materials |
| – Improved durability and wear of road pavings. |
| Deadline for initial applications is November 30, 2007. Applying individuals or institutions have to be based in Germany. |
