Senior Researcher in Nanomaterials Technology (m/f)
The Public Research Centre - Gabriel Lippmann, a public establishment for applied scientific research and technology transfer, has an opening for a permanent position for its "Science and Analysis of Materials" department (SAM) that focuses in the following fields: nanotechnologies and nanomaterials, smart functional materials, surface treatment and thin films, development of nano-analytical instrumentation and advanced characterization of materials for:
The successful candidate will have:
-To execute the experimental work of R&D projects using the nanomaterials research unit capabilities,
-To be responsible of the advanced focused ion beam and electrochemical pattern replication techniques;
-To develop novel advanced FIB and ECPR processes at the state-of-the-art;
-To communicate on the generated scientific results (conference, scientific publications, symposium…);
-To propose novel applications based on FIB and ECPR technologies;
-To actively participate to the safety/quality standards setup;
-To efficiently perform basic materials characterization;
-To interface with the instrumental, analytical and surface treatment Unit for efficient project execution;
-To occasionally train students or external people to the FIB-ECPR techniques;
-To occasionally write technical reports both in French and English.
-Ph.D in materials science, physics, physical-chemistry with at least 3 years of proven experience in advanced technology processes;
-Strong experimental background in nanomaterials elaboration, scientific knowledge in electro-chemistry synthesis is a plus;
-Demonstrated scientific contributions to high-level science (provide a list of publication);
-Past experience with or in the private sector will be appreciated;
-Excellent communication, organizational, flexibility and interpersonal skills with a mandatory team-spirit;
-Fluency in English (scientific exchanges) and French (administrative language).
