EPA and EU coordinate call on environmental behavior of engineered nanomaterials

(Nanowerk News) The EPA, NSF, USDA and NIOSH will issue a solicitation entitled "Increasing Scientific Data on the Fate, Transport and Behavior of Engineered Nanomaterials in Selected Environmental and Biological Matrices". The solicitation is expected to open on or before November 1, 2009 and will remain open for 90 days. The solicitation is being coordinated with the following call from the European Commission (EC) published on the 30th of July.
The relevant EC call is Theme 4 – NMP - Nanosciences, Nanotechnologies, Materials and new Production Technologies – Coordinated call EU-USA 2010 (call identifier: FP7-NMP-2010-EU-USA) published on July 30, 2009 with a budget of €6 million.
