2nd Bangalore Nanotechnology conference in December

(Nanowerk News) The second edition of Bangalore Nano, an international conference on nanotechnology, will be held in Bangalore from December 12 to December 14 this year.
Based on the theme `Nanotechnology in India's Future', the conference will bring together nanotechnology scientists, industry and government agencies to deliberate on how to make nanotechnology the catalyst for India's future growth.
The conference will be jointly organized by the Karnataka government, Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR) and MM Activ Sci-tech Communication company.
Briefing reporters here, Karnataka IT/BT secretary Ashok Kumar Manoli said the conference will discuss the role and impact of nanotechnology in industry and manufacturing, energy and environment, health and pharma, information and communication technology and electronics chemicals and nanomaterials, food and agriculture, policy issues and investment and finance.
There will also be presentations on innovative technologies and room for collaborations between investors and research and development organizations.
Speaking on the occasion, Ajay K Sood, member of India's Nano Mission, said nanoscience would gain paramount importance in the coming years as many processes in the manufacturing sector will necessarily have nanotechnology components.
He lauded Karnataka for giving thrust to development of nanotechnology along with ITT.
