Nanoforum and bioforum - the annual meetings for science and business in Italy
(Nanowerk News) The appointment with nanoforum and bioforum is nearing. These two exhibition-conferences share the purpose of fostering the dialogue and the opportunities of relationships between the scientific world and the entrepreneurial one in the areas of nanotechnologies and biotechnologies.
In the past few years, Nanoforum and Bioforum have succeeded in capturing a strategic role for the development of Italy and becoming the Place to Be for all the professionals involved in these respective sectors. Moreover they represent an occasion to experience the state of the art in Italy and all over the world, giving life to new projects and businesses.

NANOFORUM – 4TH EDITION

Nanoforum has reached its fourth edition as an important meeting point in order to promote the new chances offered by nanotechnologies and to facilitate technology transfer from the research world to the entrepreneurial one.
Nanoforum 2008, supported by an authoritative honor committee and designed in collaboration with a qualified promoting committee, is structured as follows: a program of tutorials on certain topics and a number of high level conferences (from nanomedecine to textile, from new photovoltaic cells to cultural heritage, from composite materials to plasma and laser, from financing to agro-food).
The 2008 edition will host
  • important foreign delegations (Canada, China, Japan, India, Russia, Singapore, Turkey and USA) and the participation of a Senior Scientist of the American Food & Drug Administration thanks to the cooperation with ICE (Institution for Foreign Trade);
  • 1 to 1 meetings, organized in cooperation with INNOV-hub, the special agency for innovation of the Chamber of Commerce of Milan to increase business opportunities.

    BIOFORUM – 5 TH EDITION

    Bioforum, the Italian leading event on biotechnologies, will take during two days and consists of: two plenary sessions (opening and closing), conferences concerning hot issues related to biotech, round tables, 1 to 1 meetings and business presentations.
    Companies, institutions and research centres will present their technological excellences and favor business opportunities in an exhibition area.
    The organizers point out the fundamental partnership with Assobiotec, the National Association for the development of biotechnologies, which has been cooperating with Bioforum by involving its network of national and international relationships.
    Among the main topics on which the edition 2008 will be the needs of biotech companies, the cooperation between companies and academic research and the issues bounded to the social impact of biotechnological innovations.
