UAlbany NanoCollege announces job fair to recruit high-tech engineering positions |

(Nanowerk News) The College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering ("CNSE") of the University at Albany will hold a Job Fair this month to assist in recruiting qualified candidates for new engineering positions that will play a critical role in expanding a variety of leading-edge programs in nanoelectronics research and development.

The Job Fair - the fourth to be held at CNSE in just over two years - is scheduled for Tuesday, October 21 from 5 to 8 pm at CNSE's Albany NanoTech Complex. Staff representatives from CNSE and its global corporate partners will conduct initial interviews among candidates for the Process Integration and Process Engineering positions, which have annual salaries that range from $70,000 to over $120,000.

Engineering candidates are being sought with strong backgrounds consisting of education and experience in process engineering and device integration on the 300mm wafer platform. The new positions will focus on development and implementation of a host of process technologies involving 32 nm and beyond, including lithography, etch, thin films, chemical mechanical planarization ("CMP"), physical vapor deposition ("PVD"), chemical vapor deposition ("CVD"), electroplating and metrology, among others.

More than 1,000 resumes for technical, engineering and infrastructure support positions were submitted through previous job fairs held at CNSE in May 2006, January 2007 and September 2007.
