We are looking for a motivated candidate to join the photonics IC team and support an increasing number of users in CMOS photonics technologies. The selected candidate will support clients in their photonics design development, provide design rule checks (DRC) and detailed support on CMOS photonics technologies which are accessible via imec. Working in this role will provide a complete exposure to the CMOS photonics ecosystem from design through to packaging.
You have a Master’s or PhD degree in optics/photonics. Due to the high customer facing nature of the role and various international users, it is highly desirable that the candidate has excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral. Knowledge of programming for engineers in python, C, and, experience of IC design flow will be an asset (specially with tools such as Cadence, Mentor Graphics etc.). Background in integrated photonics is highly desirable. You are customer oriented, providing your customer with accurate information is essential for you. You are able to work to deadlines. You are a good team player.
