Imec CMORE technologies department offers companies to develop and fabricate customized specialty microsystems. Microsystems that cannot be produced in standard CMOS technology. The basis of our CMORE fab is an advanced 0.13µm CMOS platform that runs a 24/7 operation. To this, we have added platforms for processing of various CMOS imagers – hyperspectral, backside illuminated, embedded CCD-, MEMS and NEMS, photonics, and microfluidics chips. We are able to tune our technology to the demands of the customer and develop the technology flow for both prototypes and low-volume production. Imec has two state-of-the-art cleanroom facilities, 200mm and 300mm, both operating 24/7. A new section of the cleanroom has been built recently so that it can house the tools that will process 450mm wafers. That makes imec the first European site that is ready for 450mm. With the extra space, imec’s total cleanroom facilities now approach 10,000m². The process fabrication of ICs inside the clean room is strongly supported by a large variety of metrology steps, amongst other SEM microscopy, thickness and CD measurements, defect inspections.
You will be a process assistant in the CMORE technologies department focusing on process quality and integration. You will work in close collaboration with integration engineers and process step experts in order to define the best possible process sequences and approaches. Your objectives will be to deliver fast and high quality inspections and metrology steps and to act as process assistant to ensure a smooth lot processing in the cleanroom. Responsibilities include in-process inspections, follow-up and reporting on lot progress, processing on clean-room/lab equipment, process flow set up. Good communication and interaction with the process engineers, with the other groups within the CMORE technologies department, with other departments and the Fab is a major requirement for this job.
You are a Professional Bachelor in Chemistry, Physics, Electronics or you have equivalent experience. You have experience in clean room/laboratory. You are accurate and focused to deliver results meeting specific targets and deadlines. You work in an organized and timely manner. You are enthusiastic, eager to learn and you have a strong sense of urgency. You have good communication and reporting skills, you like team spirit and initiative taking. Since your job consists of a variety of activities, depending on the needs of imec, a flexible attitude towards your tasks is required. Due to international nature of IMEC, good communication skills in English are necessary.
