| Job Description: | ||||||||||||
As part of imec’s CMOS scaling program, imec needs to ensure that future technologies meet application requirements well ahead of industry. This goal is at the heart of imec’s insite research program. Depending on the assumptions made on the technology, various performances can be extrapolated at system level early in the technology development. To achieve this, pioneering process assumptions are turned into design guidelines which in turn allow designing libraries of standard cells as elementary fundaments of digital systems. Since choices made on the process of advanced CMOS nodes can severely impact the design of these standard cells, these need to be accounted for early in the development of the technology. Therefore imec is looking for engineers with digital circuit design background to support the circuit-level assessment of advanced CMOS technologies. This work requires a good understanding of standard EDA flows used by the industry to design circuits (e.g. Cadence). Moreover, the applicant needs to have a good understanding of advanced CMOS technology manufacturing process, as the results of the circuit-level exploration will need to drive imec’s technology research program. |
