For our Process Technology (PT) unit we are currently looking for a (m/f) R&D Engineer for Logic Device Design.
You will work in the Logic Device Design team of imec’s CMOST group. Your primary responsibility will be fabrication, characterization and benchmarking of exploratory devices.
Identification and development of materials suitable for use in high performance MOSFET devices.
Development of a process flow to build advanced device structures with good device characteristics.
Electrical device characterization.
Identification and addressing key issues to improve performance and scalability.
You will work directly with a talented and diverse multi-national team of imec technical staff (materials development and characterization, process team), but also with an international group of customer on-site assignees of the logic research program. Through your work, you will also have the opportunity to access imec’s advanced laboratory and state-of-the-art 200mm & 300mm wafer fabrication and test facilities dedicated to advanced technology research and development.
You have a Master’s or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics or Material Sciences.
Strong fundamental understanding of solid state device physics.
Strong understanding (working experience preferred) of deep sub-submicron FET architectures, including nanowires and finfet.
Significant experience with MOSFET fabrication in Si, SiGe/Ge, and/or III-V materials systems.
Additional technical experience in device modeling may be an asset.
Strong problem solving abilities in interdisciplinary areas.
Proven capabilities in the design, execution, and analysis of experiments.
Given the international character of imec, a fluent knowledge of English, both written and oral, is essential.
