Trends in nanotechnology funding, research and business converge in new webinar series

(Nanowerk News) NanoTecNexus (NTN), already acclaimed for its educational forums and nanotechnology expertise, announces a new series of business and scientific online webinars intended for members of industry, investment, research, and academic communities. Nanotechnology involves the science and technology of devices and materials developed at the molecular scale and poised to revolutionize applications across many industries. Webinar topics planned for release in 2010 include the latest strategies in funding, regulatory issues, safety, research and development, and updates in the commercialization of nanotechnology-based applications.
The business and scientific series of webinars follow the highly successful CME (Continuing Medical Education) Accredited Nanomedicine series produced in partnership with UC San Diego’s NanoTumor Center and sponsored by the UC San Diego School of Medicine. Kicking off the new round of business-focused webinars is a lecture on funding strategies entitled “Financing Innovation in Our New World: Utilizing Non-Dilutive Funding for Capital Efficiency” scheduled for Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 11am Pacific. All topics are designed to help attendees navigate through the new rules of doing business in today’s volatile economy and discover new opportunities with emerging nanotechnologies.
“Business is fueled by innovation and, despite the economic outlook, access to high caliber expert content remains vital if companies are to emerge and stay competitive,” noted Adriana Vela, Founder and CEO of NanoTecNexus. “Our online sessions allow us to leverage experts worldwide and deliver content to a broad and geographically dispersed audience”.
A variety of industry tracks showcasing promising companies that are developing nanotech-enabled products are also being planned.
