Organization Description:

The Institut Català de Nanotecnologia is a non-profit research institute, created in July 2003 by the Ministry of Universities, Research and Information Society of the Catalan Government and the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), who remain its patrons.

The ICN works concurrently in Scientific Research in Nanoscience, primarily via European and national collaborative projects, and in Technology Research, Nanotechnology, in areas of internal expertise and co-development with private industry. Its aim is to achieve the highest level of scientific and technological excellence in both fields, nanoscience and nanotechnology.

Job Description:

The experimental activity will be based on low-temperature scanning tunnelling microscopy and spectroscopy (STM/STS), with possible extensions to angle-resolved photoemission (ARPES).

Requirements:

Candidates must possess good command of oral and written English. Experience in one or more of the above-mentioned areas will be considered as an advantage.
