For our ‘Circuit and Systems for ICT’ Department we are currently looking for a Senior Digital Architect.
Your challenge is to conceive innovative digital architectures for future communication systems in deep-scaled commercial CMOS technology (28nm and beyond). Building on a strong technical expertise and SoA knowledge on processor architectures, EDA design methodologies and CMOS technology, your innovative ideas allow to improve the performance, energy efficiency and industrial impact of our architecture solutions.
Your tasks will include:
To propose innovative application-specific architectures (baseband processor and specialized data processors) for future communication systems.
Together with a team of experts, to drive the validation of these ideas in commercial design environments.
To support interactions with and delivery to external industrial partners, for maximized industrial impact.
To generate high-impact patents and publications.
To collaborate with people in different teams with cross-disciplinary expertise.
You have a Master of Science degree with a few years of relevant experience or a PhD degree in electronics on a related topic.
You have experience in the field of processor architectures, EDA design methodologies and CMOS technology. Knowledge of wireless communication systems is an asset.
You are eager to take initiatives and have good oral and written communication skills.
You are an enthusiastic team player, able to share your vision and solutions with other researchers in your team.
Fluency in English is a must, given the international character of imec.
