Human and Environmental Exposure Assessment of Nanomaterials workshop

(Nanowerk News) The National Nanotechnology Coordination Office (NNCO), on behalf of the NSET Subcommittee, will hold a February 24-25, 2009 workshop to provide an open forum to discuss the state-of-the-art of the science related to environmental, health, and safety (EHS) aspects of engineered nanoscale materials in the area of Human and Environmental Exposure Assessment, one of the five EHS research categories identified in the Strategy for Nanotechnology-Related Environmental, Health, and Safety Research.
Also discussed will be the path forward for addressing research needs in this category by:
  • bringing stakeholders together to build dialogue and to facilitate collaboration
  • discussing the state of the science to compare the progress of ongoing research to research needs and to identify gaps and emerging trends
  • relating progress and next steps to adaptive management of the EHS research needs strategy
  • It's February 24-25, 2009. It's free. It's at CPSC (U.S. Consumer Protect Safety Commission, 4330 East West Highway, Bethesda, MD 20814).
