| MXene-coated lenses can monitor intraocular pressure, glucose levels, and inflammation without invasive procedures. They could also provide antimicrobial protection and photothermal therapy, which uses light to generate heat for targeted treatments. Because MXenes are highly conductive, transparent, and flexible, they can be built directly into the lens material, allowing continuous sensing without affecting vision or comfort. |
