Transatlantic regulatory cooperation: Securing the promise of nanotechnologies

(Nanowerk News) Nanotechnology will impact our lives on a global scale. Over the past year experts from the London School of Economics, Environmental Law Institute, Chatham House and the Project on Emerging Nanotechnologies at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars have been examining issues of transatlantic regulatory cooperation.
Their research findings are to be published in a major report, which will be launched at an international conference on 10-11 September 2009 in London: "Transatlantic Regulatory Cooperation: Securing the Promise of Nanotechnologies".
The conference brings together regulatory experts from the US and EU. Its purpose is to discuss recommendations from this research effort but also to generate and examine new ideas that would enable greater transatlantic cooperation and convergence on nanotechnology oversight today and in the future.
Participation in the conference is by invitation only. Please send an email to Ms. Carmen Gayoso at [email protected] if you would like to attend.
