Invitation for expressions of interest: Nanomission on 'Nanomaterials Processing for Renewable Energy'

(Nanowerk News) Following a highly successful mission in March 2008, the NanoKTN is collaborating with the Science & Innovation Network (SIN) to organise a follow on mission in the spring of 2010. The mission will be funded by the UK government Department for Business Innovation & Skills and will be co-managed by NanoKTN.
Scope
This Mission will focus on production processes for manufacturing nanomaterials for renewable energy applications such as photovoltaics, batteries, supercapacitors, hydrogen storage, fuel cells, bio-derived energy, thermoelectric and insulation materials.
The mission will visit two world-class organisations, one in Germany and one in Switzerland. The focal points of the mission will be two technical workshops on nanoenabled clean energy solutions which will feature presentations from UK delegates and host organisations. A key feature of the mission is to facilitate partnering meetings to develop research collaborations, commercial deals, and policy development.
The UK Delegation
The mission will comprise a delegation of around 15 scientists, industrialists and policy makers.
Funding
Academia and Industry delegates will be funded for travel and hotel costs.
