Nanotechnology expertise for the engineering workforce

(Nanowerk News) To help engineering professionals and organizations benefit from the surge in nanotechnology R&D, Johns Hopkins’ Engineering and Applied Science Programs for Professionals (EPP) offers a Nanotechnology Option within its Master of Materials Science and Engineering program.
Students in the Nanotechnology Option learn how to deal with structures at the level of a single atom. They also learn how to safely exploit and control the novel behaviors that nano-scaled materials exhibit—extraordinary and complex mechanical, optical, magnetic, and chemical properties that are at the heart of many technological advances.
Weekday evening classes
EPP Nanotechnology Option classes are held weekday evenings and Saturdays to accommodate working professionals’ schedules. Faculty are drawn from the Johns Hopkins’ Whiting School of Engineering, scientists at the University’s Applied Physics Laboratory, and industry specialists. Please see the flyer (PDF) for more information on admission requirements, course requirements, concentrations, and to learn how EPP can help you become a competitor in the nanotechnology era.
