(Nanowerk News) On September 15-16, 2008, the University of Birmingham organizes the 3rd International Conference on the Environmental Effects of Nanoparticles and Nanomaterials.

Engineered nanoparticles and nanomaterials offer many potential socio – economic, health and environmental benefits as a result of novel properties and behaviour that materials can exhibit when manufactured at the nanoscale. While the production of nanomaterials is undergoing exponential growth, their biological effects and environmental fate and behaviour are relatively unknown. This meeting is the third international meeting on this topic following the success of the 2nd meeting held in London last year. The venue for 2008 will be the University of Birmingham.

Abstract submission

You are invited to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations on any of the themes above. We would particularly encourage presentations on work that is in progress, as well as completed work. Young scientists working at the bench are also encouraged to attend.

SUBMIT AN ABSTRACT: Please submit abstracts including title, authors (indicating presenting author) and author affiliations with an abstract body of 300 words maximum to [email protected] indicating whether you wish to submit for a platform or poster presentation by 30th June.
