NMP Finland - nanotechnology, materials and new production

(Nanowerk News) The NMP Finland Conference next week presents the cutting edge of Finnish nanotechnology, materials and new production technologies. The conference provides an opportunity to meet the leading companies and partners behind the new technologies.
NMP Finland presents the cutting-edge cases in Finnish nanotechnology, materials and new production technologies and provides the opportunity to meet the key technology partners and leading companies.
NMP Finland takes place at the Helsinki Fair Centre, 16th-17th of April 2008. The seminar is held in English.
FinNano, Functional Materials and the NewPro programmes are funded by Tekes, Finland’s funding agency for technology and innovation. Through a market-driven and collaborative approach, these programmes bring together industry needs and scientific research, encouraging further development of technological expertise.
Tekes programmes encourage horizontal networking both within and between national and international communities, opening up new opportunities to improve the competitiveness of Finnish industries while also taking into account the needs of sustainable development.
Finland is developing nanotechnology and functional materials to enable the renewal of the main Finnish industry clusters. Technology development is driven by cooperation between academia and industry, designing applications for specific purposes in a controlled way.
NMP Finland is arranged in connection with Materia 08 exhibition, which is the largest technical event in Finland. The seminar is co-organised by three Tekes programmes: FinNano - the Finnish Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Programme (2005-2010), Functional Materials (2007-2013), and NewPro - Advanced Metals Technology - New Products (2004 - 2009).
The lead organiser of NMP Finland is Spinverse, a consulting and seed capital company focusing on the commercialisation of emerging technologies. Spinverse is also the coordinator of FinNano and Functional Materials programmes.
Participation from international delegates is encouraged. Special match-making programme is arranged between Finnish and international parties on the second day.
