| (Nanowerk News) Nanonica is awarding a prize in nanotechnology in order to enhance the translation of the technology's potential into reality. | |
 Nanonica is awarding prizes in two categories: The Nanonica Prize for the breakthrough of the year in the field of nanotechnology The breakthrough of the year in different fields of nanotechnology will be chosen by a scientific committee chaired by Prof. Dr. Victor Puntes with researchers from all fields of nanotechnology. It will be chosen from a shortlist (about 100) provided by Nanonica selected from the most significant scientific publications on the field of nanotechnology. The expert opinion of the committee members will choose the winning contribution. The committee will be made up by 5 researchers and its membership may vary partial or completely from one year to another. |

| Best innovative project in the field of industrial applications of nanotechnology to be submitted by researchers (not institutions) employed in public or private, national or international, universities and technology and research center and private companies. | |
| The Prize is €5,000. | |
